Mindset, Business, and Balance
Mindset:
Too many people in today's world use their brains in a binary way. Something either is, or is not. Our brains are the most powerful super computers in this entire world yet some of us still use them like the first computer to have ever been made: a set of true or false statements that construct our view of the world. Something is either serious or not. A situation is either funny or not. There's no balance of anything, no combinations of different realms, or no in between. Our brains are made to take the most powerful and effective points of each aspect that goes into making a decision to make the best one possible yet we make decisions as if there's just a bunch of true or false questions to be answered.
Scaling Your Business:
Everyone talks about systemizing your business in order to scale it but there’s rarely a clear definition of what it is. A system is just a list of tasks that need to be completed in order to achieve a certain result. When people say there’s systems for marketing, sales, finance, etc. what they really mean is that there's just a list of tasks that need to be completed regarding that department. If you want to scale your business, keep track of each and every action you take in order to achieve a certain result. Ex) If you want a system for marketing an event, the next time you market an event, keep track of everything you do leading up to that event. Share these systems and procedures with your team so that they can learn and do things even when you’re not there to facilitate. That's how you start creating a business that runs itself on autopilot.
Balance:
When it comes to balance, you have two choices. You’re either working or you’re not. You can't have both if you want to produce quality work. If you want to produce mediocre results like everyone else by all means be distracted balancing both work and play. But if you want extraordinary results, you have to do extraordinary things. Have periods of work where you’re completely consumed by it and periods of fun where you’re just enjoying the moment. It doesn’t have to be long periods, it can simply be a couple of hours of work and fun each day. The key here is being completely immersed in your craft when working and being completely present when you’re having fun.
About The Firm:
I’ve been developing and learning business skills for the past 7 years before starting this firm. I’ve been with non-profits, teaching organizations, e-learning platforms, and much more to perfect the art of doing business. I started this firm to help businesses and companies turn into something extraordinary. While I refer to myself as a “business consultant” what I really am is the last stop for businesses and companies before they become something great. My clients are my number one priority and will only get this firm's best work.
Walking Thought:
All you're doing when you do any form of outreach is just communicating to the other party how your organization, company, business, whatever it may be fits into their organization, company business, etc. You’re communicating how your two “things” can work together to achieve a certain goal. If you just spam emails or phone calls to people at mass without any sort of connection or similarities between them, you’re communicating nothing to all these people. It's better to have a small pool of people that have that perfect fit into the vision that you have rather than a vision with a lot of puzzle pieces that don't fit.
